Directory for Catechesis Webinar Series: Catechesis and Evangelization as a Laboratory of Dialogue

Description: This webinar will host Bridget Richardson, Producer with University of St. Thomas –Houston’s MAX Studios. She will give a presentation on how catechists and volunteers have the opportunity for a deeper connection with others through dialogue and digital communication. She will discuss the Directory’s emphasis on digital culture, languages and tools and how we as the Church are called to dialogue with the people of our time as missionary disciples in ways that speak to each of our unique gifts and talents. She hopes to inspire others to “become an evangelizing presence on the digital continent,” (Directory, 371).

    Bridget Richardson Producer @ University of St. Thomas MAX Studios

    Bridget Richardson is a Producer at University of St. Thomas-Houston’s MAX Studios, a video and podcast studio on campus. She earned her B.S. in Journalism and Electronic Media with a minor in Theatre at University of Tennessee, Knoxville and studied abroad in Milan, Italy. She completed her Master of Arts in Faith and Culture at the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture at University of St. Thomas-Houston. In early 2020, she worked in the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture at UST as the Assistant Director ofEcumenical and Pastoral Initiatives. In this role, she produced more than 60 videos during the pandemic engaging a variety of leaders in conversations about topics relating to hope, the Catholic mission and innovative initiatives in a digital space. Previously, she was the Director of Communications at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston for seven years and is currently also a freelance writer for the Texas Catholic Herald.
